Use Case:

Decentralized Data Sharing Network

Scenario: Jane Smith works for Company A as a researcher in the mental health department. Jane’s company, Company A, is a member of a decentralized data-sharing network with Companies B and C. Jane needs to combine datasets from Companies B and C to answer a research question. The respective admins from Companies B and C can securely share data with Jane through Bitnobi using data sharing policies and Federated Bitnobi connections.

Question: How was the rate of death by intentional self-harm (deaths/1000 citizens) trending in Canada compared to the UK from 2011-2018?

Goals:

Admins of Companies B and C:

  • Create a new data sharing policy matching the user attributes of Jane Smith

  • Attach the policy to an existing result set (Intentional Self-Harm Deaths (UK), or External causes of deaths (CAN)) to enable external data sharing

End User (Jane Smith):

  • Create a workflow to combine the datasets and isolate the desired year range (2011-2018)

  • Create a multi-series line chart to visualize the data
